Congrats to Mark Upton 13 who is currently a sophomore linebacker at Bates College. This past weekend, Mark led the Bobcats in defensive statistics with five solo and seven assisted tackles in their first win of the season against Williams. Last year, Mark played in all eight games and started the last four games of the season for Bates. He ended the season with 30 tackles (23 solo, 2.5 for loss) on the year. Bates faces their next opponent at home this Saturday versus an undefeated Wesleyan team. While at St. Marks, Mark was a three sport varsity athlete and captain of the football, hockey, and crew teams. He was named MVP of the football team his senior year and also had the distinction of being named to the ISL First team and Class C All-New England football team. Mark was also named MVP of the hockey team and was an ISL Honorable Mention pick. He capped off his impressive St. Marks athletic career by being awarded the Fearing prize. #smalumni #proudlions
