Congrats to the FHS softball team for winning their first District Championship since 2008 defeating Lakota East 7-2 on Saturday! Senior Audrey Barrett, Junior Katie Tarter, and Freshman Maddie Koger all drove in 2 runs. Freshman Erin Burdine sparked the scoring with 2 lead-off doubles in the 3rd and 4th innings. Senior Lexi Gabbard was 2-for-2 with an RBI. Senior pitcher Ashlynn Roberts struck out 4 in her 19th win on the mound. With the win, the team is in the Final 16 Division 1 teams left in the state and advance to the Regional Semi-Final game on Thursday to play Mason at 5:00 at Northmont High School. Tickets are $6 at the gate. Go Lady Indians!
