Congratulation to Jenny Mathews who was nominated by Upwey Primary School for a #LaTrobe Community Service Award. Jenny has become a much loved and vital member of the Upwey Primary school community. Jenny volunteers her time at the school in many ways, such as assisting in library lessons, coordinating stock takes, developing classroom displays for teachers, painting a wall mural for the school and assisting with many school productions. Her assistance with the school’s veggie patch by offering advice to school staff has become vital to the running and maintenance of the classrooms ‘Kitchen Garden” programs. Jenny’s time and generosity towards Upwey Primary School is highly valued among the school’s community. It is people like Jenny who help lead the future generation in our community.
