Congratulations, Crown Mountain No TAXERS! Midvalley voters Tuesday appeared to overwhelmingly reject two tax increases to pay for a proposed recreation center at Crown Mountain Park, striking a considerable blow against supporters’ five-year effort to build a facility in El Jebel. The unofficial tally against ballot measures 4C and 4D, which would have funded a 63,100-square-foot recreation center with pools, two gymnasiums, an indoor track, a weight room, a senior center and other amenities, was dramatic in both Pitkin and Eagle counties. In Pitkin County, both 4C and 4D were rejected by an 80-20 percent margin, according to unofficial results. Eagle County voters shot the measures down by a more than 2-to-1 margin, with about 1,300 votes against each and roughly 550 for them. Yesterdays election PROVES Colorado is sick and tired of taxes, from a state to local level. Keep up the fight, fellow No TAXERS!!!!
