Congratulations Domenic Nutile, for being selected to play in the Naval Academy Side-by-Side next week. The Naval Academy Band will be performing its annual Side-by-Side Concert at Severna Park High School on Thursday, April 3, 2014, at 7:30 p.m. The band will be joined on stage by area high school musicians. The United States Naval Academy Band, “The Navy’s Oldest and Finest,” has been providing music for the Brigade of Midshipmen and surrounding community since 1852. Located at the Naval Academy in Annapolis, this premier military band offers fifteen world-class ensembles which perform a variety of musical styles, ranging from classical to contemporary. The Concert Band is comprised of some of the nation’s finest musicians. Led by Lieutenant Commander Bruce McDonald, the ensemble performs a year-round public concert series featuring varied programs of marches, orchestral transcriptions, patriotic music, and classic wind band repertoire. Naval Academy Band concerts are free and open to the public with no tickets required. Severna Park High School is located at 60 Robinson Road in Severna Park.
