Congratulations Excel Cup racers. We thought race 1 was a cracker. Once again you turned it on. Another 5 way battle for the lead, and 2 and 3 car battles right through the pack. Fantastic racing and no silly stuff. Shhh!, maybe one or two....... #hardracing is the go, but today proved you dont have to have crashed cars to put on the #best #racing youll see anywhere. As the old saying goes #racingisrubbing but even better without the crazy stuff. Peter Nankervis took the win from Steve Hay and Brett Parrish. Race 1 winner Steve Cook arrived at turn 3 with a long brake peddle and found the gravel. Greg Mammen was in the hunt till he tried 3 cylinders... David Oberhofer was pulling off some great moves slicing through the field before.....? We heard plenty of quotes like this one from Scott Kelly (grinning), I reckon I passed and got re passed 9 times in that race What a start to the year. Whos looking forward to Sunday?
