We want to formally congratulate our 2014 ACCEL Performance Group Super Series Champions: Quick Time Super Pro: Randy Scheuer Jr Lakewood Pro: Brian Hurst Wiseco/Cycle Tech Super Bike: Rick McWaters ACCEL Sportsman delivered on time by TFC Transportation: Nick Hastings Bear Motorsports Junior Dragster presented by Wiseco: Advanced: Conner Grisez Intermediate: Stephen Crowell Novice: Zach Smith The McIlvain Super 64 The McIlvain Super 64 will be contested during the Summit Racing Equipment Shakedown at the Summit presented by Mickey Thompson Tire Saturday October 4th. The top 16 drivers in Super Pro, Pro, Super Bike and Sportsman will be racing $75,000 in prizes and cash. (The top 16 are noted on the points sheets for each class) The winner of each bracket will advance to the final four, with the ultimate winner earning the turnkey ‘14 McIlvain Race Cars dragster and must remain in-tact for a minimum of two years. The runner-up is set to receive $1,500; semi finalists receive $500; quarter finalists receive $200; eighth finalists receive $100 and sixteenth finalists receive $50. In order to be eligible for the prizes, a racer MUST WIN first round. The Super 64 will be run on the quarter-mile This will mark the fourth season for the aggressive Super 64, and sponsors helping to make it all possible are Abruzzi Racing Transmissions, Accel Performance Group, Aesthetic Finishers, AFCO, ATI Performance Products, B&M, DRE Engine Diapers, GM Performance, MSD/RacePak, Mickey Thompson, McIlvain Race Cars, Moroso, Moser Engineering, Parts Distributor Inc (PDI), Quick Fuel Technology, RJS Racing Equipment, R&R Auto Body, Riggeals Performance Fiberglass, Russell Performance Products, Stainless Works, Summit Racing Equipment, Trick Flow Specialties, White Safety Equipment. Super 64 participants will run two time trials beginning at 9 a.m. and the first round of eliminations slated to take place approximately 11:30 a.m. The remainder rounds will be co-mingled throughout qualifying during the day, with the final round to take place at approximately 6:00 p.m. Each participant will receive a car & driver entry, plus one additional entry for a crew member. An area in the pit area will be reserved for participants. Summit Racing Junior Dragster Shootout at Shakedown The ‘Top 8’ in points in each of the three Junior Dragster classes (Advanced, Intermediate and Novice) will be eligible to compete on October 4th during the Summit Racing Equipment Shakedown at the Summit presented by Mickey Thompson Tires. Each class will race for the following prize package: Winner to receive $1,000 ($500 Cash & $500 Summit Racing Equipment Gift Card & big check) + Trophy, Runner-Up to receive $500 ($250 Cash & $250 Summit Racing Gift Card) and plaque, Semi-Finalists to receive $200 ($100 Cash & $100 Summit Racing Gift Card). Even first round losers will not go home empty handed, as Summit Racing Equipment is awarding them with a $50 Summit Racing Equipment gift card! Junior Dragster Shootout participants will run two time trials beginning at 9:30 a.m. (Immediately following the McIlvain Super 64) and will run their first round of eliminations approximately noon. The remainder rounds will be co-mingled throughout qualifying during the day, with the finals to take place at approximately 6:00 p.m. Each junior participant will receive a car & driver entry, plus two additional entries for a parent or crew member. An area in the pit area will be reserved for participants.
