Congratulations my friends, especially the soccer fans. Accept my belated thanks for all your prayers during my promotion interview some few days back. The questions, as usual, were divided into 3: Professional, Civil Service, and Current affairs. I had prepared for Current affairs with ALL SERIOUSNESS. You dare not take this section for granted. You have to be current with the happenings around the troublesome world. I was expecting questions like: (a) Apart from Madam Angela Merkel, name other 90 million people that had phones hacked by U. S Govt as revealed by “ED“ Snowden. (b) What did Obama take this morning for breakfast? (c) Who poisoned Arafat? (d) What is in the minds of the G-7 Govs? To my greatest surprise, I was asked to give / write the full meaning of ECOWAS, list 4 member countries, state where the HQTRS is located, which country withdrew its membership? Can you imagine that? Thank God I never “dogged“ my social studies class in FGC Odogbolu. God willing, I won‘t disappoint you when the result is released . Thanks again for being there.
