Congratulations to 16-year-old Bundaberg Paralympian Rheed McCracken on winning The Courier-Mail/McDonalds 2013 Athlete with a Disability Award last night at the Queensland Sport Awards. Rheed edged out swimmer Brenden Hall, paratriathlete Bill Chaffey, cyclist David Nicholas and wheelchair rugby star Chris Bond for the honour. Its Rheeds second major award in less than a fortnight after being named Junior Male Athlete of the Year at Sporting Wheelies and Disabled Associations awards on 22 November. A wonderful achievement for an outstanding young athlete on and off the track! And congratulations to our annual awards judge, Advisory Council member and longtime supporter Daphne Pirie, who was inducted into the Queensland Sport Hall of Fame for her contribution to womens sport. couriermail.au/news/adam-scott-becomes-first-golfer-to-claim-the-top-prize-in-queensland-sport-after-stellar-2013/story-fnihsph6-1226773914253
