Congratulations to ALL the TOP 5s in both categories. Nice to see some new ETAs, but of course enjoy those that return each year! And we all know we have our FAVES! Not an easy job for the judges. Ive been attending for 8 years now, and my only ONE complaint is this Festival is not promoted enough outside the Penticton area. I am two hours north and no one knows about this Festival. Our local newspapers have never mentioned this event, nor the radio stations. There may not be a budget for paid advertising which I understand, but press releases and community calendars should be able to print something for free. This (Festival) is not necessarily a profit event, its a TRIBUTE event... and that must account for some free publicity... Also the Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association does provide co-op dollars for regional promotion... hasnt anyone inquired? Please do. The PARK should be filled to capacity on Friday and Saturday just as it was on SUNDAY for the Gospel show - what an amazing turnout! This is one great tribute event and more people need to know! And THANK YOU to all of you on the committee, and the volunteers for a great weekend in Penticton! You are so appreciated! Thank you very much!
