Congratulations to Alabama, Oregon, Florida State, and Ohio State football team for making the collegiate national championship playoffs. But I really feel for Baylor, TCU, and all the other great teams that didnt get an invite. At the beginning of the season, I argued that there should be eight teams in the playoffs. There are usually a few teams at the end of the season with one loss on their record that get left out of consideration. By expanding the playoff format to eight teams, every (hopefully) deserving team would get a shot. The NCAA and the universities would financially benefit by adding one extra week to the schedule, excitement for the finale would build, and fairness to those teams who performed so well all year would be recognized. And quit screaming about strength of schedule! Anything can happen in a football game! Just my humble opinion.
