Congratulations to Brenda Nabukenya – You have done the country Good. Freedom and Unity Front congratulates Hon. Brenda Nabukenya on the resounding victory in Luweero District. Museveni has been left reeling in shame and total humiliation, having told the country so many lies about how he is supposedly still popular among Ugandans, and particularly in Luweero, the former heartland of the NRM war, where according to him, he is supposed to be loved and revered by all the local people, especially the youths, the women, the veterans of the war, etc. Brenda’s victory is an emphatic victory than has blown to pieces the fabrications and falsehoods trumped by Museveni as he run around the corners of Luweero Triangle in utter desperation, bribing, intimidating, using violence and coercion, with the hope that the people would be scared and forced to vote for Museveni’s hand-picked candidate. Brenda’s victory is as much a symbolic victory that foretells of things to come. The people of Luweero and all the citizens of Uganda are determined to see the back of Museveni, and what has happened in this historic place where Museveni started his tragic journey to State House is a clear signal of the coming demise of Museveni and his regime of terror. Museveni must now know that he is all alone in the humiliating abandonment and isolation that has befallen him and his regime. Freedom and Unity Front stands ready to defend the people of Uganda and ensure that Museveni can no longer claim monopoly over violence, which he has used across the 27 years to terrorise the people into silence and servitude. At every election, Museveni has used overwhelming force against peaceful citizens, and applied every known and unknown tricks and game-play, which has ensured his continued stay in power against the will of the people of Uganda. The days of state brutality and persecution; the days of one man-rule and diktat are coming to an end. FUF calls on all our fellow citizens to contribute in every conceivable way towards the Liberation of the motherland.
