Congratulations to Chicagos own Common and John Legend for Best Original Song Glory this year at the 2015 Golden Globes. What a well written, powerful song which pays tribute to those who sacrificed, fought and died for simply the right to vote and for those who continue to fight for basic rights today that we all sometimes take for granted. And props to Common for the eloquent speech on the Globes and the lyrical thoughfulness and flow on Glory which is how REAL HIP HOP/RAP is done. If you havent seen the movie Glory, its a must see! Director Ava DuVernay and writer George Pelecanos knocked it out of the ballpark! Two thumbs up, (lol)! 👍👍
