Congratulations to Christopher G. Quint 98, USMs new Executive Director of Public Affairs Christopher G. Quint of Biddeford recently was appointed Executive Director of Public Affairs at the University of Southern Maine. He is a member of USM President David T. Flanagan’s Leadership Team. Quint came to USM after serving as executive director of the Maine State Employees Association, SEIU Local 1989, and prior to that as senior public affairs director of Planned Parenthood of Northern New England, Portland, Maine. Originally from Houlton, Maine, Quint is a graduate of Colby-Sawyer College. He returned to Maine in 2004 after spending his early career in Colorado where he lived in Denver and worked as a legislative aide in the Colorado General Assembly along with serving as a public affairs director for various campaigns and organizations. Quint replaces Robert S. Caswell, long-time executive director of Public Affairs, who retired in July 2014 after 34 years of service to USM.
