Congratulations to Decatur Discovery Academy student, Amy Carpenter on being named the Marion County of Girls Sports Associations 2014 County Scholar Athlete! Amy was presented with two beautiful plaques and a $300 scholarship at the annual banquet honoring the top female athletes in Marion County! She is the first athlete from Decatur Central to earn this esteemed award that has been given annually since 1980! We are so proud of Amy, her coaches, Dennis Weaver and Bill DeLisle, and principal, Anna Cook.
