Congratulations to Deepti Kharod, a doctoral student in ILT! She has been awarded a very competitive and prestigious scholarship to attend and present at the annual North American Association for Environmental Education International Conference in Ottowa Canada this fall. The description of the award is below and attached is her award letter. Deepti will be presenting a session centered around projects the graduate students in C&I 6773 completed last semester on their journey towards developing a personal sense of place. These projects include an online San Antonio River Watershed bioregion module and a discovery journal that she co-edited, a book of class poems entitled Where I am From... and digital stories that each student created for their place.
