Congratulations to Dr. Aysha Akhtar and Justin Goodman on brilliantly making the case against the use of animals in experimentation in a debate at the University of Pennsylvania earlier this week. Im not sure what to make of the fact that there are some UPenn students who think animals are not autonomous (maybe they dont know what autonomous means??). From the article: A lot of students don’t realize that most of what happens in laboratories is funded by their tax dollars. National Institutes of Health has a budget of $30 billion and 47% of that goes to experimentation on animals, Goodman said.
