Congratulations to Dr. Michael Verbora who was the recipient of The College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) Medical Student Leadership Award for Western for 2012-13 year. This award recognize the leadership abilities of outstanding medical students in their final year of study who demonstrate interest and skills in areas such as health care policy/economics; government/media relations; advocacy and representation on behalf of patients, peers, or healthcare organizations and a commitment to or an interest in a career in family practice. Award recipients will participate in the Medical Student and Family Medicine Resident Leadership Workshop, which will be take place during Family Medicine Forum (FMF) 2013 in Vancouver, BC, held November 7 to 9, 2013.
