Congratulations to Glasgow, Scottish friends, the Scottish nation and Team Scotland for what sounds an all round successful and SCOTTISH Commonwealth Games. (All you Unionist apologists out there, note the adjective in CAPITAL LETTERS.) I have to admit Im not over-sporty, but recognise the talents in others. My own home nation broke its own record for medals won as well as the target we set for ourselves - and this despite losing some of our star performers early on. Da iawn, Cymru. And thank you again, Scotland. Im sure most people will have happy memories of the great time and wonderful welcome they had in your largest city. Now is the time to build upon it and the goodwill we offer you in return and secure that YES vote in the Independence Referendum of 18 September. Every good wish.
