Congratulations to KVCCs Student of the Year for 2014, Timothy Tug McDonald of Madison, who was was honored along with other Students of the Year from Maines community colleges in a ceremony today at the Senator Inn in Augusta. McDonald will graduate in May with an Associate in Applied Science degree in Precision Machining Technology and is an excellent student with a grade point average of 3.975. Known for his hard work, mentoring of other students, determination to succeed, quiet service to his community, and his sense of humor, McDonald provides an outstanding example to other students. He is pictured here being congratulated by Dean of Students Karen Normandin, addressing the group after receiving the award, and shaking hands with KVCC President Dr. Richard Hopper. The event, seen in the final photograph, was well attended by faculty and staff of KVCC as well as McDonalds family members.
