Congratulations to NHs Dr. JoAnne Malloy who received the Dr. Gary Blau 2014 Rockstar Award for her active support of youth and integrating youth voice into childrens behavioral health. JoAnne is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Institute on Disability at the University of New Hampshire, and helped lead the development of RENEW (Rehabilitation, Empowerment, Natural supports, Education, and Work) a program to assist schools in serving youth with behavioral health issues which has been replicated across the US. She has been active in the NH Childrens Behavioral Health Collaborative. JoAnne is married to Mike Malloy who was NAMI NHs first Executive Director. The award was presented in front of 2,000 of her colleagues including a delegation from NH at last weeks Georgetown University Institute in DC.
