Congratulations to Sheltons Teresa Younger on being President and CEO of the Ms. Foundation for Women. Through her years working in Connecticut – from directing the ACLU of Connecticut to heading the General Assembly’s commission on women’s issues – Teresa has made a name for herself as a strong and tireless advocate for women. Teresa pushed for the inclusion of more women in our state government, fought for equal pay for equal work, and successfully advocated for a much-needed increase of the state’s minimum wage to provide for the economic security of women and their families. I know that the Ms. Foundation will be in good hands under Teresa’s leadership, and I look forward to seeing all that she will accomplish in the coming years.
