Congratulations to Wally Mullen from Newmarket, Ontario! He is our first pre-registered participant for the 2015 Jalopy Jam Up! Wally came up last year to the Jalopy Jam Up with his 1947 Ford pick up! This year, Wally is planning on bringing up his all original steel 1932 Ford coupe to the show that he has only just recently acquired in a trade for a 32 glass roadster Like most survivor Hot Rods, over the years this little 32 has seen some changes. It was originally built in the late 60s in the Caledonia, Ontario as a high-boy and then later on it became a full fendered car for a while . During the 1980s, the top was chopped; and then in the 90s the car was rebuild at Paul Hortons shop in Breslau, Ontario. This 32 Ford coupe sports a simple 350/350 tried and true motor and transmission combination with a 8 inch rear end. Wally tells us that he is 70 years young, and has been into cars all his life! Over the years he has made a number of Hot Rod pilgrimages. One of the most memorable trips he took was back in 2007 when he drove his Model A Ford coupe to Bonneville with a bunch of his pals! Wally tells us that he has only been to a few local shows this past summer in the 32 but he plans on making another possible trip back to Bonneville in the near future! Thank you Wally for being our first pre-registered Hot Rod this year! I have been waiting to type this for a long time! So as I type this I have a huge smile on my face!
