Congratulations to all six Oregon Tech athletes who earned postseason honors, in the 2014 fall sports of volleyball and women’s soccer! First-team all-conference honors went to Rebekah Matteri (Arcata, Calif.), her third-straight first team selection and fourth overall, as a goal keeper on the women’s soccer team, and to Kelsey Sampson, her second-straight, as an outside hitter with Tech volleyball. Matteri, in her final season, ranked 1st in the CCC in saves (121) and saves per game (7.56) and 7th in save percentage (.791), while recording three shutouts. Sampson led Oregon Tech with 294 kills and 402 digs and was 2nd in aces with 31. Sampson ranked 10th in the CCC in digs at 3.22 per contest. Honorable mention accolades for soccer went to junior defender Bailey Tehan (Eureka, Calif.), her third-straight HM award, freshman forward Amanda Hisey (Medford, Ore.), and sophomore forward Tarryn Miyamura (Mililani, Hawaii). Sophomore middle hitter Madison Garlie (Challis, Idaho) was an honorable mention selection in volleyball. Hisey finished in the top 10 in the CCC in shots per game (2.53), points per game (.87), overall shots on goal (38) and goals with five. Garlie ranked first in the CCC in blocks (169) and was fourth in attack percentage (.282). tinyurl/q5l26q4
