Congratulations to former Scone Thoroughbreds junior Todd Lowrie who will play his 200th 1st Grade game in the NRL tonight, when he runs out for the Brisbane Broncos. Todd who had stints with the Knights, Parramatta, Melbourne and the Warriors, was paid what is the ultimate in respect by Bronocos coach Anthony Griffin yesterday at his press conference. He has been a great addition, said Griffin. He is a terrific fellow and a true professional with the way he approaches his football. We have all learnt something and we are all better for the fact that Todd has been at the club this year. He is a great team man. It doesnt matter if he is starting or he is getting 10 minutes off the bench - you get the same attitude and the same effort. Hopefully tomorrow night he can enjoy a win on his 200th. Lowrie played in the Northern Division Under 18s side as a 16 year old in 1999, the side bringing home the Country Championships at Scully Park, which was emulated this year by the Greater Northern Under 18s. He then went onto to represent Country Rugby League Under 18s on their tour of New Zealand. Congratulations to Todd.
