Congratulations to my friend, Hon. Emmanuel Baba Abah for his well deserved appointment as the Caretaker Chairman of Ogbadibo LGC. It indeed pays to be patient. I was a councilorship aspirant under UNPP in 2002 when Pastor Baba Abah emerged the partys candidate for Benue House of Assembly. The then National Chairman of PDP, Chief Audu Ogbeh pressurised him to step down for the PDP candidate, Rt. Hon. Oduh Moses who comes from the same village with him. For the respect, Baba Abah stepped down! When another opportunity came for him to be made Secretary to the LG, they still denied him and was later consoled with Supervisory position, where he presided over the Works and Housing department. In 2012 when the coast became clear for an Orokam chairmanship, Hon. Baba Abah was so hopeful of clinching the PDP ticket but was later pulled down due to his romance with Chief Steven Lawani. He was seen as Lawanis candidate and since we didnt want imposition of candidate and as such, we went to the poll and delivered Hon. Sunday Ojoh. Today is his turn and Im happy for him. Hon. Paul Akpa, the man that deputized Sunday Ojoh in the last executive council is to retain his seat. I congratulate him also. Another of my friend, Adoyi Abutu is also part of the caretaker committee. He is the only representative of Ai-Oodo district in the newly appointed committee. Congrats to all of them and I advise the committee members to work hard and make their imprints on the sand of history!
