Congratulations to the BDP and HE Seretse Khama Ian Khama for their win.May God bless you,protect you and give you wisdom.May you serve your people better and do all the things you promised to improve. I enjoyed following these elections,I saw youth propping up across parties for council seats.This used to be something that couldnt easily happen. I thank our elders for giving the youth a chance and the youth for believing in their own. Whether part of moono or not we have to thank the UDC for showing their incisors because it will benefit our democracy.I believe BDP will even formulate their own KPIs after this. You cant hate on passion,a belief in possibility and those impressive wins in areas no one saw it coming. Congratulations UDC! It wasnt a good one for BCP but the MPs that won are much needed voices for our decision making. For those who lost across parties,life is a series of seasons,please remember opportunities to serve the country(especially with such wealth of knowledge) dont need a title.Be a servant still. The new faces all around are a great opportunity to improve and bring in better perspectives! So excited by this!May all who won remember their promises to serve their people. God bless your journey. I am filled with joy for the four women(so far) who join our Parliament.Our women need help from both men and women.Thanks to Emang Basadi for standing for the womenfolk as always with #TlhophaMosadi campaign.We shall suffer lack of congruency from telling our girls they can be anything except that place that allows a few at a time.Let us do something,this is a crisis! Batswana let us be a Learning Country.Let us not wait another 5 years to speak up.That is too late if we are serious about things improving.From next week we must work on an effective process to hold our leaders/servants accountable.Any governance structure is not complete without this loop that allows correction and continuous improvement. Otherwise, our votes will merely be musical chairs and not useful.Glory be to God for peaceful elections!Citizens and friends prayed and God heard our prayers.
