Congratulations to the Paul Butterfield Blues Band on their induction into the 2015 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame! Well deserved. Mike Bloomfield kicks it off with a chord and how did Andy Kaufman get to play that trumpet? This is what I love about music-- Bloomfields playing makes me feel, and I think . . . Sometimes one might think one is drifting when in fact has truly found safe harbour in a domicile of ones choosing. I call mine Briar Patch. It has my mom Evie Maddox and a dog who forgets I live there. Occasional Maddoxs and Cisneros and Raymonds and Sauzas and even a Fujimoto drop by on occasion. Ohana, one and all. The things I worry and fret about fade into the past and the grand accomplishments occur in such small increments they go by largely unnoticed. I live a life worth living and I do it one day at a time.
