Congratulations to the following CIS team members who were chosen as our world-class winners for December! These employees were nominated by their peers for going above and beyond in providing world-class patient care. Stephanie Gaudet (LGMC)- Ownership Stephanie took ownership for recording the Nextgen training sessions. Stephanie took ownership for recording Nextgen training sessions. She took the initiative to prepare and used her knowledge to carry out the task. She did an excellent job recording the sessions. Her efforts will help employees learn how to function more efficiently and accurately in Nextgen. We are lucky to have Stephanie on our team. Michael McElderry, MD (Lafayette)- Attitude Dr. McElderry had a very busy clinic day and, as he was finishing up with one of his patients, her glasses fell apart in her hands. He helped her find the screw, went to his office, and used an eyeglass repair kit that he had to fix her glasses. She was so appreciative of him taking the time to do this for her. This is just an example of how Dr. McElderry treats his patients. Kim Arceneaux (Houma)- Ownership Kim took ownership of patient privacy by being alert and acting quickly to prevent a potentially serious privacy breach. Kim recognized the potential privacy risk, and she took ownership of it even though it was outside of her normal work area. Kim took appropriate actions to assure the patient information was secure, and she then reported the incident appropriately. Thank you, Kim, for being a great patient advocate and for protecting our patients right to privacy! Cindy Luke (Corporate)- Initiative Cindy took the initiative to introduce and suggest staff development videos. She was passionate and persistent (in a good way) until the videos were approved and purchased. Her efforts will help educate CIS employees on how to deliver better customer service to our patients and to each other.
