Congratulations to the incredible Virginia student leader Ms. Dayana Torres - a White House Champion of Change!! On Tuesday, June 17, 2014, the White House will honor local “Champions of Change,” who are Deferred Action for Childhood Arrival (DACA) recipients, for their exemplary leadership in their communities. These DACA recipients serve as success stories and role models in their academic and professional spheres. These Champions distinguished themselves through their community involvement and the hard work they put into helping other members of their academic and professional communities succeed. The Champions of Change program was created as an opportunity for the White House to feature individuals doing extraordinary things to empower and inspire members of their communities.
