Congratulations to the two Werner drivers who recently earned a spot among the 32 finalists for the American Trucking Associations (ATAs) 2015-2016 Americas Road Team: • David Conkling, an army veteran, has been a Werner driver for 13 years and a trainer for 12. He has driven more than 1 million safe driving miles and currently drives the inaugural Operation Freedom truck, Freedom 1. • David Green has driven with Werner since 1991 and served as a trainer since 1992. The U.S. Marine Corps veteran has achieved more than 2 million safe driving miles and currently drives Freedom 2. Americas Road Team is a national public outreach program led by a select group of professional truck drivers who share superior driving skills, remarkable safety records and a strong desire to spread the word about safety on the highway. We offer our support and encouragement to these two drivers as the selection process continues. The 2015-2016 America’s Road Team will be announced Jan. 14, 2015.
