Congratulations to the winners of the Inaugural NZMBA PORSE VOLUNTEER AWARDS 2014: ‘A JOB WELL DONE’ AWARD Winner: Carys Brittain (President, Hawkes Bay Multiple Birth Club) Runner Up: Rebecca Gourlay (Co-President, North Shore Multiple Birth Club) COMMUNITY DEDICATION AWARD Winner: Fiona Purchas (Immediate Past President, NZMBA) Runner Up: Esther Williams (President, Counties Manukau Multiple Birth Club) EMERGING LEADER AWARD Winner: Dee Harris (NICU Support coordinator, Kapi-Mana Multiple Birth Club) CLUB OF THE YEAR AWARD Winner: Counties Manukau Multiple Birth Club Runner Up: Hawkes Bay Multiple Birth Club CONTACT/BUDDY/SUPPORT PERSON OF THE YEAR Winner: Stacey Morunga (Co-president, Triplets Plus Club & Counties Manukau Multiple Birth Club) Runner Up: Suzanne Stuttle (New Parent Support Team Leader, Hawkes Bay Multiple Birth Club) The Online Support Award (which was to be judged by members) was not awarded this year as there were not enough nominations received so please keep an eye on those people who make a positive contribution and support our members online and nominate them in 2015. Thank you to everyone who did submit a nomination. The judges were blown away by the generosity of the volunteers who had been nominated especially those who had stayed with the organisation for an extended period of time. These awards will be open for 2015 nominations next June and the judging panel would love to see some creative nominations (think photos, personal stories, dont be limited by the form itself). Remember, the judging panel may not know the nominee so you need to show them why they deserve to win an award.
