Congratulations to two of our firefighters that successfully completed the 1700 hour intensive training and passed the national registry/state board testing necessary to become a state certified, nationally registered paramedic. Full-time firefighter, Kevin Lynch and paid –on-call firefighter, Toby Oehler were previously an integral part of our team as Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT). In addition to those EMT skills, they are now trained to administer medications, properly interpret 12-lead EKG’s, and perform a surgical airway, among many other advanced life saving skills.
