Congress is finally getting ready ( MAYBE ??!!) to pass a bill to help prevent future Veterans suicides by closing the gaps that are currently there now when Vets reach out for help. THERE APPEARS TO BE TWO SIDES TO THIS ISSUE...AND THE PARENTS OF A MARINE WHO TOOK HIS OWN LIFE ARE TRYING TO CONVINCE SENATOR COBURN TO SUPPORT THIS BILL....TELL US YOUR THOUGHTS...Please share with us your feelings about this bill... ON ONE SIDE WE HAVE: Senator Tom Coburn, Republican Senator from Oklahoma, says saving Veterans from suicide costs too much and he has plans to not vote in favor of the bill. By blocking the bill, Coburn will save taxpayers a bit more than the cost of 3 1/2 hours of the Iraq war. ON THE OTHER SIDE WE HAVE: Richard Selke, step-father of Clay Hunt, a Marine who died by suicide in 2011, who tells Senator Tom Coburn that it might be too late for Clay, but the Clay Hunt SAV Act will help save other veterans in urgent need of mental health care. Heres a video of the Marines Dad trying to convince Senator Coburn to vote for this bill: https://youtube/watch?v=y42DfV4sJYg
