Congressional Resolution Recognizes March 2014 as National Multiple Myeloma Awareness Month. As a result of the IMFs outreach to US representatives, a House of Representatives resolution was issued today to recognize March 2014 as National Multiple Myeloma Awareness Month. The IMF worked with Representatives Spencer Bachus (R-AL) and Charles Rangel (D-NY) to introduce this important resolution. Other bipartisan cosponsors include: Rep. Brian Higgins (D-NY), Rep. Mike Honda (D-CA), Rep. Hank Johnson (D-GA), Rep. Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV), Rep. Tom Rice (R-SC), and Rep. Eleanor Holmes-Norton (D-DC). During his remarks on the House floor, Rep. Higgins thanked the IMF for our work on behalf of myeloma patients.
