Congressman Doug LaMalfa to speak at Yreka Tea Party U.S. Congressman Doug LaMalfa will visit Siskiyou County next Tuesday, August 27th to speak at the Yreka Tea Party Patriots meeting held at the Decision Life Church on the corner of Oberlin and Main Street. Time is 6:30 p.m. Leaders of the Tea Party say the Congressman will explain the steps Congress is taking on frustrating issues of Benghazi, spying by the NSA, the IRS situation and Obamacare. Supporters of the Tea Party want to know what they can do to support LaMalfa and conservative Congress members. Also Congressman LaMalfa is holding a meeting the following week to discuss the impacts of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s proposed designation of millions of acres as special habitat for the Mountain Yellow-legged frog and the Yosemite Toad. LaMalfa told the federal agency this landgrab of over two million acres in the Sierras will drastically restrict access to public land and will negatively impact timber and fire reduction work, agriculture and property rights.
