Coniston Trail Marathon. How clever of them to design a course that starts and end in the same place but is entirely up hill on some of the most rugged, rocky, rooty, terrain this side of Middle Earth. 4.30 for the toughest run I have yet attempted. Amazing location, amazing trails, stunning (very warm) weather, and a paddle at the end. Would I do it again? Hour One, God no. Hour two, no. Hour three, maybe the half. Four hours after crossing the line... Wonder if registration is open for 2015 - I think I could take those hills quicker next time...
