Conkrite Family Reunion Committee Minutes of First Meeting Held 5:45 pm on June 2, 2013 Location 1726 W 39th Place Los Angeles CA Attendees: Janniet Reid –meeting facilitator and hostess; Loren Bernard; Milton Bernard; David Sutton; Ardith Scott; Emma Worthington; LaDonna Worthington and children Tatiana, Edward and Sienna; Michelle Brown and daughter Ryan; Marla Brown and daughter Arin; Dewann Clark and daughters Delicia and Kimberlyn; Bontivia Clark. Purpose: To organize a family reunion for August 2013 and set the foundation in place for future reunions. Actions taken during the meeting: An election was held and the following offices were filled: President: Loren Bernard; 1st Vice President: Janniet Reid; 2nd Vice President: Delicia Clark/Arin; Secretary: Bontivia Clark; Treasurer: Dewann Clark; Sgt at Arms: La Donna Worthington and David Sutton; Entertainment Coordinator: Michelle Brown; Communications: Michelle Brown; Food Coordinator: Ardith Scott and Marla Brown (family Tree & Scrap Book); Photographer/Historian: Janniet / Dawann Facebook Creator/Editor: Melton Bernard; Posters and Flyers: Edward Small. Date of Reunion established as August 17, 2013. Discussion: Topics under discussion were possible venue locations, such as, El Dorado Park, Jim Thorpe Park, Rawley Park, Cheviot Hills Park, Torrance Park among others as well as what fees would be charged . Donald Ray Conkrite was contacted by phone and agreed to contact the different venues and report on his findings. Discussed: Vernett and her health situation. Janniet will keep her updated and informed of everything but she is unable to participate on committee due to declining health. Committee voted dues would be charged and collected from each committee member at each meeting held to help offset costs. The dues charged would be a minimum of $10 and a maximum of $20 per person per meeting. Dues of $101 were collected from committee members and a record of those that paid will be forwarded along with the treasurer. The committee decided that a bank account should be opened in the name of the Conkrite Family Reunion Committee and that a tax payer ID be requested. The first vice president, second vice president and the treasurer will be the initial signers on the account and the president will be added whenever it will be convenient.
