Connected You don’t have to know everything that happens the moment it happens. Just because you can be connected, informed and up to the minute, doesn’t mean you always have to be. You don’t have to be constantly entertained by flashing images, pulsating sounds, words, opinions and comments. Take some time to process it all, to find real meaning in it all, and to remember who you truly are. Don’t spend all your time and energy just documenting your life and comparing it to others. Enjoy the opportunity to actually live your life, apart from the updates, the fleeting images and superficial comments. It’s great to be able to connect with so many others in so many ways. Make sure those connections are meaningful and substantive, and not just a waste of time and bandwidth. Resist the temptation to connect just because you can. When you connect, connect because you care. Let go of the need for a constant stream of stimulation. Give real life, love, feeling and wisdom the chance to grow. — Ralph Marston
