Connecting the Dots for Education in Charleston A new educational opportunity in the Lowcountry has been formed that will help recruit and retain the best healthcare workers in the Charleston area. Agapé Senior is now represented on the Career Academy Advisory Board for Healthcare Professions with the Charleston Chamber of Commerce. Grace Waddell, Dean of Agapé University, Melissa Pounds, Director of Operations for Lowcountry and Chelsea Bendt, Senior Solutions Advisor were instrumental in forming this partnership and are all excited to be involved in this new educational adventure. The Chamber’s Regional Education Council is comprised of area employers, each of the regions four public school districts and Trident Technical College. The Council meets monthly to develop the Chamber’s strategic plan for aligning high schools with employer needs to prepare students for careers in their chosen fields.
