Connie Kis ANDERSEN’s long awaited album is here - officially released in Australia on November 8. Her first single; ON THE OTHER SIDE OF MIDNIGHT has already grabbed the attention of radio presenters and is steadily gaining momentum with its up tempo, bare bones, country roots story of love possibilities after a fun night out at the local bar. A brilliant re-work of a previously released track which initially slipped under the radar, it typifies the theme of the new album and is testament to Connie Kis’s talent as an artist and songwriter. All tracks on the acoustic album; Naked Under the Radar are written by Connie Kis and she plays acoustic guitar on ten out of the twelve tracks – further evidence to her growth as a musician and song smith, particularly since one of her long term goals is to be a stand-alone writer for others. “Getting to this point in life with my fifth album finally out has been a rocky road indeed but I am so pleased that I have managed to overcome some of life’s obstacles to make it this far,” says Connie Kis, “and so I thought it was time to re-work some of my personal ‘gems’ from earlier albums that I felt had slipped under the radar the first time round.” Connie Kis chose to re-work her tracks acoustically so that the songs themselves were able to shine. Career highlights include being named Western Australia’s Best Country Female Artist three times. winning the Best Independent Country Music Album for Western Australia twice, and receiving a TIARA for Female Vocalist in 2012 along with multiple awards for song-writing. She has already enjoyed chart success in Australia with her self-penned songs.
