Connie Vodika-Hunter Responding to a on Facebooks Curry & Del Norte Chitter Chatter News Forum REGARDING WHY ARE SOME OF OUR CITIZENS CHARTER EVENTS SCHEDULED ON FRIDAYS: For those who cant make the Citizens Charter News Conference and community meeting, there are several Saturday events that are coming up, including one the next day. We just participated a week ago Saturday where our Committee made a presentation at a TEA Party event that was open to the general public. Our goal is to get information out to as many people as possible. I will post events and schedules as details are confirmed. We have nearly every day of the week except Sunday. RE: Fridays NEWS CONFERENCE it was scheduled for that purpose according to the availability of the media and our speakers. AS USUAL WE WENT THE EXTRA MILE TO INVITE THE GENERAL PUBLIC TO PARTICIPATE. March 28th, Friday at the Chetco Activity Center (formerly known as the Senior Center, behind Subway Restaurant), upstairs back room. We are asking people to arrive at 1:30 p.m., earlier if you want to help set up. The upcoming Associated Student Government (ASGSWOCC) event is on Friday, April 11th--we originally had asked for Saturday, but the college and ASGSWOCC were able to do the event on Friday. We always hope that a caravan of fence sitters will join us! Hopefully, even a reporter from the north county newspapers will attend our News Conference. We are always available to answer questions asked by individuals or the media. FRIENDS: Feel free to ask anything you like. Our Citizens Charter committee is a group of concerned citizens and community-builders whose leadership brings integrity that is intent on guarding the citizens of Curry Countys interests. Its time to envision Curry Countys journey forward.
