Connie me number 19 for little known facts about myself to share. Ill try to keep it short, lol! Like this status and Ill give you a number! 1. I was an Air Force brat. Of course, once a brat always brat. As the daughter of an RCAF Corporal, I lived in some off Canadas most beautiful cities, including Halifax, Ottawa and Vancouver. My favourite post was just outside Montreal and I still consider St. Bruno my hometown. 2. I am afraid of dragonflies. As a result I own a large collection of brooches and coffee mugs with dragonflies on them. Thats okay, as jewelry doesnt scare me at all! 3. I moved to 13 times before I was a teenager. See number one above. 4. I love giraffes. On my bucket list is a trip Giraffe Manor, near Nairobi, Kenya. 5. I like to ride on the back of Daves motorcycle. He calls me his fender fluff. A complete stranger once asked me where I bought my riding jacket...it really IS all about the fashion! 6. My degree from the University of Waterloo is in Religious Studies. It has given me a better understanding and appreciation of other peoples beliefs. I disapprove of anyone who disrespects other religions, and I insist that others respect mine. 7. I like to drink Chardonnay. But I dont think thats a little known fact. 8. The main character of my newest novel is named after my granddaughter, Claire. Her brother, Ethan, is named after my grandson. 9. I think Paris is the most magical place on earth. But thats not a little-known fact either. 10. I met Dave in 1973 when we were in high school, 42 years ago. He was my first love and my last! 11. Although I dont watch much TV I am addicted to Downton Abbey. My favorite character on the show is Violet. I always hated being a Dowager Baroness (although that will only be until I remarry). Violet has made me hate that title a lot less. 12. I am convinced that Anna Anderson was in reality Anastasia Romanov. The incurable romantic in me refuses to believe evidence to the contrary! 13. Audrey Hepburn is my alter ego. Dave once took my picture as I stood outside Tiffanys on Fifth Avenue! 14. Among my ancestors are Laura Secord, Mayflower passengers, and the mistress of King Henri II of France. 15. I have had a lifelong love of ballet, and I am proud of my ability to get on pointe even into my 50s. I can also skip backwards in high heels. Not bad for an old girl, huh? 16. I have been blessed with many close friends. Especially my zep-sisters, my brother from England, and my two New York nephews. 17. I am a homebody and have lived in the same condo for 20 years, probably because of number 3 above. Now that Dave is there with me, were renovating and redecorating, making it the perfect home for two people who are perfect for each other! 18. I am quiet and serene, which sometimes can be mistaken for weakness. But anyone who has ever tried to manipulate me knows better! 19. I once had to politely correct Prince Philip in conversation. He replied nasal harrumph. Does that mean I had the last word?
