Conscious Film Review I Am (2010) Is a warm philosophical documentary film on Mental health, specifically how it relates to humanity as an organism by Tom Shadyac whom Some of you may recognize as the successful Hollywood film producer & director of many morally positive conscious comedies such as Patch Adams, Ace Ventura, Liar Liar, The Nutty Professor, Bruce Almighty, Evan Almighty. This film is a meditation on the psychology fuelling much of the worlds problems today examined through Director Tom Shadyacs spiritual journey a Trip that began after he sustained a life altering head injury that left him with plenty of time to examine the nature of the human situation. This film is about cooperation and competition and how these fundamental behaviours have become unbalanced through the neurosis of self serving ignorance and perpetuated by the facade of rampant materialism that is poisoning our society, Includes interviews with Noam Chomsky, Desmond Tutu, Howard Zinn, Marilyn Schlitz, Lynne McTaggart and David Suzuki with related inspirational words from The Dalai Lama, Mohandas Ghandi, John F Kennedy, Martin Luther King, Mother Teresa, and Nelson Mandela. The documentary is not overly complex or mind bending, an easy watch for most age groups, level of alertness or state of mind and demographic, If you feel in need of some inspiration related to the human potential for good, than This Film Comes Highly Recommended!!!
