Conservative economic messaging has focused on the entrepreneur. But in a time of downward social mobility, increasing income inequality, stagnating wages, and decreasing quality of life, all coupled with a debt epidemic both personal and national, conservatives need to start addressing wider economic security, which is an issue of paramount importance for working people outside the entrepreneurial class. The economic recovery has left them behind, and they should be at the forefront of the conservative mind.
