Conservatives like to complain about “social engineering.” Well guess what? The system they’ve created is social engineering too. It engineers all the resources to the top while at the same time confiscating any semblance of a safety net. It makes people poor no matter how hard they try or how many crappy jobs they have. It engineers health care out of the hands of all but the well off. It dumps everyday folks to the curb to die if they’re sick. It’s a scam and a lie and it’s evil. We all just sit and watch it happen. We think elections matter but they really don’t seem to change much. Working nights and week-ends with terrible pay and no health benefits seems to be the new norm for many folks. But hey, it’s all done in the name of “Family Values” right? So it’s all good.
