Consider this: My dad and I did a little research. The CEO of Viacom made 85 million dollars (2011). At that time, Viacom employed 10,580 people. If we (our government) were to cap CEO compensation at 10 million dollars per year (which is still a ridiculously large amount), Viacom could use that 75 million dollars to increase the pay of each Viacom employee by $7,088. This would have no impact whatsoever on the profit margins of Viacom, and therefore, zero impact on its shareholders. Moreover, these Viacom employees would actually spend that money, as opposed to investing it globally (as the CEO does), resulting in higher demand for consumer products, and more jobs to manufacture those products. And thats just one corporation. Share if you agree. And frankly, how could you not?
