Constitution thrown out. I know many honorable policemen that would not do this. Shame that some police actually do this without true probable cause, or without even asking if they had disobeyed the law and drank or abused substances. I guess that innocent until proven guilty does not apply in this jurisdiction. Ed Huey, would you consider this search illegal? Without ascertaining probable cause...interested in what your reply would be. I have an open mind. The man was not belligerent or threatening....followed commands....did not do anything to make them feel threatened. What do you think? I know PD has been professional and salvation for us volunteer EMS countless times. I have the utmost respect for the police....my grandfather was a policeman. Comments appreciated. Ed you have been so honorable in my dealings with you as a police officer. I could not see you doing this. Is this an illegal detention and search? When in doubt ask those you trust to be open and honest. As they say...there are no stupid questions.
