Constitutional Law expert Professor Pierre De Vos has written an opinion piece in the Daily Maverick about Steve Hofmeyers racist rantings and the rights of citizens to challenge bigots like Hofmeyer. The final paragraph of the piece reads thus: So, tough luck, Mr Hofmeyr. The more racist nonsense you talk, the less likely it is that you will retain any sponsors, and the more likely it is that you will not be invited to appear at festivals. If you want to make money out of your bigotry, you might have to record another karaoke CD. I am sure there are still some sad people out there who support you and will buy your records.
