Constitutional lawyer Phyllis Schlafly offers an interesting perspective behind the motivations of feminists. She states that as more women entered the workforce in what was traditional male careers, these women will naturally compete for positions with their male counterparts. She states that what makes these career women upset and jealous of men, is knowing that often these career men have a homemaking wife to go home to, while these career women dont since men are typically not homemakers, or because these career women are single (as many often are). Schlafly states that this jealous and envy feminist hold towards men over this factor is often rooted behind feminists womens need to demonize the roles of homemaking women and try to abolish homemaking altogether.
